ANATOMY AND CHARACTER SCULPTURE 06.04.2023 - 06.07.2023 (Week 1 - Week 14) Maisarah bt Muhd Zamri Anatomy and Character Sculpture Project 1, 2, Final Project 1 I took Character Design some semesters ago so I decided I'd just use that character to sculpt for the projects.  Fig 1 (Wores Bovid) No hair, no ears. Bless. Fig 2 (Character block-out) Started with the base shape/anatomy. Added the clothes. Made several deductions from the original outfit to make it easier to sculpt (for now). Fig 3.1 (Head/face) He looks scary (o_o) His eyeballs are too big and they're kind of bulging a bit. I shall not make the same mistake of merging the eyeballs with the rest of the head this time. Fig 3.2 (Face/Expression colored) Mans looks like he doesn't wanna be here. I label "colored" but there's no color on him XD I created this character with grey skin, therefore it still looks uncolored. Lect said to give him a lil more human skin color because it looks too dark right now

I don't know why it was so impossible for me to use this software before. The skeletal body is made of simple shapes, just as a base. 20.04.2023 (Week 3) Pose/Proportion study Fig 2 (Pose Study) I gathered images of models in various poses and traced them. I chose mostly contemporary dance poses because they tend to show more movement. That helps me understand the flow of the body better. I'm supposed to do a head/face sculpt, but I didn't (ʃᵕ̩̩ ᵕ̩̩) 27.04.2023 (Week 4) Fig 3 (Head/Face) Here is th

Vehicle and Props Design: Projects

VEHICLE AND PROPS DESIGN 04.04.2023 - 04.07.2023 (Week 1 - Week 14) Maisarah bt Muhd Zamri Vehicle and Props Design Project 1, 2, Final Project 1 Fig 1.1 (Moodboard) I've added a bit more on the moodboard with more references of the artstyle and elements that are usually incorporated in the vehicle designs. I notice that Ghibli films have more noticeable air vehicles that other types of vehicles. While I did initially want to challenge myself and try to design a land vehicle that would imitate Ghibli flims' artsyle, I am quickly humbled when I realize I cannot brain a fresh design. So I decided to stay in the comfort zone. Fig 1.2 (Silhouette) Fig 1.3 (Thumbnail) Honestly, coming up with these 10 designs took me wa--y too long. I was still kind of hung up on the land vehicle idea (that I didn't have and designs of) so it took me a while to focus on the airships' designs. Fig 1.4 (Value painting) Okay, hear me out; I was absent for three weeks, so this really was a rush

Exercise: deconstruct different types of vehicle. Fig 1.1 (Air Vehicles) Fig 1.2 (Land Vehicles) Fig 1.3 (Water Vehicle) Broke down 3 types of vehicles using big basic shapes to understand the form of the vehicles. I realize that they are usually separated into three parts: The front - where the engine is The body/middle - where the passenger sits The back - sometime for storage 11.04.2023 (Week 2) Exercise: car perspective, object perspective Fig 2.1 (Vehicle Perspective) I actually used Blender to help me with the perspective drawing. I know how perspective works, but I admit I have trouble translating it onto canvas. Fig 2.2 (Object Perspective - Trophy) We were told to pick any object that isn't too complex but not too simple and draw it in 3 to 6 different angles. The trophy is basically a combination of sever
